Clinical Supply Manager

Responsibilities

As a Clinical Supply Manager, you will oversee the clinical supply chain from start to finish. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Supply Planning and Management: Develop and execute supply plans that align with clinical trial timelines and requirements.

• Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely procurement and delivery of clinical trial materials.

• Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels using sophisticated tracking tools. Conduct regular audits to confirm that supplies are accurately accounted for and stored appropriately.

• Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors. Negotiate contracts and manage performance to ensure quality and reliability of supplies.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all clinical supplies meet regulatory requirements. Maintain documentation and records to guarantee adherence to industry standards and regulatory guidelines.

• Project Coordination: Collaborate with clinical trial managers, project managers, and other key stakeholders to align supply chain activities with project milestones.

• Quality Assurance: Implement policies to ensure the quality of supplies.

• Conduct regular quality checks and resolve any issues that may arise.

• Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain process and develop mitigation strategies. Establish contingency plans to address supply shortages or delays.

• Cost Management: Monitor and manage the budget for clinical supplies. Implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality or timeline.

• Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive reports on supply chain activities, including status updates, risk assessments, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Clinical Supply Manager role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, pharmacy, or related field; a master’s degree is desirable.

• Experience: At least five years of experience in clinical supply chain jobs or a similar pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry role.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in supply chain and inventory management software. Knowledge of regulatory requirements for clinical supplies.

• Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
